CCWI–Camarines Norte Update | October 7, 2025

Following a scheduled hearing at the Office of the Ombudsman, a productive coordination meeting was held with the Crimes and Corruption Watch International (CCWI) – Camarines Norte Chapter, led by Chairman Mike Dolera. The discussion centered on reinforcing the chapter’s ongoing initiatives to uphold transparency and accountability in public service, while ensuring that all actions taken adhere strictly to the principles of due process and fairness for all concerned parties.

Participants exchanged updates on current cases and monitoring activities, emphasizing the importance of sustained cooperation between civil society watchdogs and government institutions in addressing allegations of corruption. The CCWI–Camarines Norte leadership reaffirmed its commitment to closely tracking developments arising from the Ombudsman proceedings and to providing timely, responsible updates to the public as warranted.

Beyond its anti-corruption mandate, CCWI–Camarines Norte also underscored its continued dedication to community service. In partnership with Batalla Cares Philippines, the chapter announced a wheelchair donation program set to take place in Camarines Norte during the upcoming Christmas season. The initiative aims to provide free wheelchairs to indigent and mobility-impaired beneficiaries, reflecting the organization’s belief that the fight for good governance goes hand in hand with compassion and direct assistance to those in need.

The CCWI–Camarines Norte chapter reiterated that it will remain vigilant in both its watchdog role and its humanitarian efforts, strengthening public trust through transparency, service, and active citizen engagement.
