In a groundbreaking move, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) organized a seminar on December 18, 2021, at the Great Eastern Hotel, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Crimes and Corruption Watch International Observers. Led by former Provincial Board Member Dr. Carlo M. Batalla PhDs , Crimes and Corruption Watch International is the first Non-Government Organization accredited by DPWH to observe their projects, marking a significant step in promoting transparency and accountability in government initiatives.
Former DPWH Assistant Secretary Walter Ocampo played a pivotal role in the seminar, dedicating his expertise and knowledge to empower the observers. Ocampo’s contributions were seen as a crucial tool in the ongoing efforts to minimize graft and corruption within the government.

BatallaCares is a nonprofit association started in July of 2017 by former Camarines Sur Board Member Carlo Magno M. Batalla. In collaboration with like-minded friends, Batallacares has distributed more than forty thousand wheelchairs already to people with impaired mobility in the Philippines at no cost to the recipients. OUR MISSION is to provide mobility to people with disabilities and dreaming of a Philippines where everyone who needs a wheelchair without the means to get one has one.
