FROM MANILA TO CEBU: CCWI TAKES COMPLAINT TO THE OMBUDSMAN
CEBU CITY — July 6, 2026
Hundreds of kilometers did not stop CCWI from pursuing accountability.
CCWI Chairman and President Carlo Batalla personally traveled from Manila to Cebu City to file a complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman–Visayas against DPWH-7 OIC Regional Director Simon Arias and members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), over alleged procurement violations.
“Justice knows no distance.”
For CCWI, the filing is part of its continuing call for transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of public funds.
The allegations will be subject to the appropriate investigation and determination by the Ombudsman.
